The University organizes a blood donation campaign for cancer and anemia patients

The Department of Media and Government Communication and the Volunteer Work Committee at the University, in cooperation with the National Blood Transfusion Center at the Ministry of Health, organized a blood donation campaign for cancer and anemia patients.
This campaign aims to spread awareness of the importance of donating blood to patients suffering from leukemia, thalassemia, and hereditary anemia, and those injured and wounded in military operations.
This initiative, organized by the University, aims to provide community and humanitarian services and meet the needs of the blood bank.
University professors, employees, and students participated in the campaign, for feelings of the suffering and need of patients lying in hospitals who are waiting for blood transfusions from time to time to save their lives from death.
The campaign also focused on spreading the culture of volunteer work and consecrating it among segments of society by organizing such activities, including spreading awareness of the importance of blood donation to save the lives of patients and providing assistance to those suffering from chronic diseases or those who need a blood transfusion, depending on its type.
The Media Department and Volunteer Work Committee also provided some guidance to donors in order to ensure their safety.

The Legal Affairs Department organized a lecture on the legal protection of new appointees in academic institutions

The Legal Affairs Department at the University of Information Technology and Communications organized an awareness lecture on the legal protection of new appointees in academic institutions, as per the vision of the University’s Service Law.

The lecture covered the definition of University Service Law No. 23 of 2008 and the legal regulations for new appointees in academic institutions.

The lecture aimed to highlight some of the problems faced by new appointees with degrees, particularly the issue of indexed publication requirements in international repositories to allow new appointees to teach, and to explain the legal intersections with such conditions, as well as the guarantees that include protection for new appointees, including interference in job responsibilities.

The lecture was presented by Dr. Mohammed Abdul Aziz Jaber, head of the university’s legal department, and Assistant Professor Rami Ahmed Kazem from Ibn Rushd College of Education at the University of Baghdad.

The University of Information Technology holds a workshop on combating intellectual terrorism in cooperation with the Popular Mobilization Forces

The University of Information Technology and Communications held a workshop entitled Combating Intellectual Terrorism in Universities, in coordination with the Chief of Staff of the Popular Mobilization Forces.
The workshop was presented by the Assistant Chief of Staff of the Popular Mobilization Authority for Operations Affairs, Yasser Hussein Al-Issawi, the Assistant Director of Media of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Muhannad Hussein, the head of the Publication and Promotion Department, Sarah Salam Abdel Latif, and the Director of the Dialogue Center, Dr. Ibtihal Saad Al-Qaisi, Public Relations Officer Majid Muhammad, and Nidal Al-Abadi, Director of the Counseling and Psychological Guidance Division at the University.
The workshop targeted the following topics: combating intellectual terrorism in universities and the role of the media in combating intellectual terrorism. Al-Qaisi also praised the role of the Dialogue Center in eliminating differences and rejecting them from society within the framework of a peaceful society in light of societal pluralism and diversity, especially since Iraq is a multi-sectarian people.
Al-Issawi praised that scientific research has a fundamental role in the societal and intellectual construction and economic development of all societies by taking care of the academic aspect and scientific research. Al-Issawi also praised the role of the Mobilization Forces in entrusting academic research and to all groups of people through effective contributions to maintaining security, construction, and providing services. Wherever you are, from northern to southern Iraq and from east to west, under the slogan of the Mobilization Forces, the supporting hand of the security forces in maintaining security and the supporting hand in community service to civil societies, whether scientific, professional, industrial, or agricultural.
After the workshop, Dr. Louay Adwar, Assistant President of the University, presented letters of thanks and appreciation to the lecturers, wishing them continued success and brilliance.
