Biomedical informatics organizes an entertainment trip for a group of orphaned students

The College of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Information Technology and Communication organized an entertainment trip for a number of orphan students to Al-Zawraa Park.

The orphaned children were accompanied by a group of professors, employees and students of the college and university, where an atmosphere of joy and happiness prevailed on the faces of these children.

This activity aims to increase social solidarity among the members of the same society, take care of this segment, and impart a spirit of cooperation and altruism among the people of the same country.

It is worth noting that these social activities fall within the voluntary work carried out by the university and its colleges in community service.

Business Informatics Participates in Iraqi Families’ Qualification in One of the Refugee Camps

One of the Faculty of Business Informatics’ teachers at the University of Information Technology and Communications participated in the rehabilitation of Iraqi families within the camp “Joda One” in Mosul.

This activity is part of the activities of the Iraqi families, women and children, which take place in the Psychological and Community Qualification Centre and in high coordination with the National Security/Center of Excellence. It aims at implementing advanced specialized rehabilitation programmes through art, activities and dramatic works. It is a qualitative step carried out by a special team of young artists under the supervision of specialized professors.

During the visit to the camp, nessary supplies were distributed from clothing and children’s toys in order to bring joy to the hearts of the children and to alleviate the impact of the camp and its disadvantaged.

The university completes the study of its buildings within the project to support energy and reduce emissions

The University of Information Technology and Communications has completed the study of its buildings in order to save energy and reduce emissions and to transform the university building into an energy-saving building within the project of the National Initiative to Support Energy and Reduce Government Emissions.

The project, launched by the government, aims to reach a safe environment and provide energy to achieve the well-being of the Iraqi citizen and society in response to the international climate agreement through the application of the international standard ISO Energy, and the aim of which is to reduce energy consumption in the government sector by 50% and the community in the governorates by 30% In addition to reducing CO2 according to international commitments in the Climate Agreement by 1-2%, as well as spreading the awareness culture in the field of energy and environmental sustainability by no less than 50% for each of the employees and students for the next five years, and transforming the buildings of government institutions from traditional buildings to saving ones by installing solar energy systems not less than 10% of them during the next five years.
