Biomedical Informatics College participates in the National Championship of the “Information and More”

The Biomedical Informatics College participated in the “Information and More” tournament, which was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports /Department of Scientific Welfare.
Participation aims to enhance cultural and social awareness among students, in addition to developing their skills in communication and working within competitive teams, and through it, the College also seeks to provide a comprehensive educational environment that enhances students’ capabilities on both the academic and personal levels, which contributes to preparing them to face the challenges of the future.
The College was represented by student Abdullah Muhammad Youssef from the Smart Systems Department and student Tabarak Mustafa Abdul Rahman from the Bioinformatics Department, under the supervision of the Student Activities Division official, Assist. Lect. Ali Abdul Qader.

Engineering organizes a scientific visit to the Scientific Care Department at the Ministry of Youth and Sports

Within the framework of enhancing cooperation between universities and government institutions, the College of Engineering organized a scientific visit for professors and students of the Department of Information and Communication Technology Engineering to the Ministry of Youth and Sports/Scientific Care Department.

The visit aims to expand students’ knowledge and connect them with advanced technologies, as well as enhance opportunities for practical training and academic cooperation, as it seeks to enable them to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during their university studies and in their future career path.

The visit included a tour of modern scientific laboratories to learn about the latest technologies in the fields of renewable energy, especially solar energy, in addition to automatic control and control systems, as well as their introduction to robotics and drone technologies, which allows them to view scientific and technological developments in these fields.

An Educational Lecture on Spreading the Values of Tolerance

On the occasion of the International Day of Tolerance, the Division of Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up at UoITC, in cooperation with the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, organized an educational lecture on spreading the values of tolerance in society. Dr. Iyad Tariq Abdel Majeed delivered the lecture in which he focused on the university’s role in promoting the values of tolerance, as education has become one of the main areas in spreading the culture of tolerance, which is one of the most important global human values. The lecture addressed the values of peace, brotherhood, love, rejecting violence, confronting the phenomenon of extremism, and removing its seeds from the minds of individuals before their behavior through an effective educational system. The lecture came up with recommendations, including the need to spread and enhance the values of tolerance among students in universities, and to include topics in the school curricula that are concerned with societal peace and the values of tolerance and dialogue.
